In 1993, Jazz vibraphonist Bill Wear and saxophonist Jay Rodriguez signed onto the Eight Ball Records label with their acid jazz project, Groove Thing, polished Jazz Fusion tunes drifting into urban soul territory crafting seductive smooth sound.
